Fishing

Mike and I took Emily and Holly camping and fishing at Big Lake while Melanie and Alexa were in California with Grandma and Grandpa Willis. We hauled the canoes up there and took the girls on their first canoe ride. We weren't able to canoe the first day because on the way to the lake we had flat, and to our surprise, the tire iron was the wrong size. Then once we got to our camping site, Holly locked our keys in the car. But thankfully prayers are answered, and our tire got fixed and we were able to break into the car without breaking a window - Yay!! Well, bright and early the next morning, we took the canoe out on the lake. Mike had baited my hook with power bait, I put the line in the lake, and just like that I caught a fish. By the time Mike got the fish off the hook, the wind (it was really windy) had blown us across the lake and into some rocks. So that was the end of our canoe trip. Emily loved the experience, and Holly never wants to ride in a canoe again!! But we were not alone because Scott, Jaime, and their boys were with us!!
